Two top descendants of Inatana Las Marismas are purchased by Las Marismas at the 2004 Limburg foal auction in Holland

Las Marismas’ proprietors Yvonne and Eduardo Muñiz are the proud new owners of Rubitana Van Hof Olympia and Sandritano Van Hof Olympia, two outstanding foals which are direct descendants from Yvonne’s Pan Am medallist mare Inatana Las Marismas.
During Yvonne’s stay in Europe she met Inatana’s prior owners, Iris and Henk Poettgens, who conduct an extremely successful breeding operation based on Inatana’s daughter by Calypso III, La Quitana Van Hof Olympia, and her two daughters P.Siltana Van Hof Olympia (by Ellen Bontje’s Olympic partner Silvano N) and Latana Van Hof Olympia (by Paul Schockemohle’s Sandro Hit). Both La Quitana and P. Siltana were Benelux Champion foals, and La Quitana was also European Reserve Champion foal in France. The farm, Hof Olympia, is based in Weert, Netherlands, and has repeteadly produced top quality foals by stallions such as Sandro Hit, Krack C, and Rubin Royal, being even profiled in Paul Schockemohle’s website due to their success at the foal auctions.

After meeting Iris and Henk, Yvonne and Eduardo had the opportunity to visit their beautiful home, exquisite facilities and see the two world-class foals that would be auctioned in September: Sandritano (by Sandro Hit out of P. Siltana) and Rubitana (by Rubin Royal out of La Quitana). They were later fortunate enough to secure the winning bids on both foals at the Limburg auction in September, were Sandritano had to top price. Both foals will be left in Holland to develop, under the supervision of the Poettgens, and later start their career in sport with Yvonne. More importantly, however, solid and lasting friendships have been made by two dedicated and selective breeding operations: Hof Olympia and Las Marismas.
